The Road Less Travelled hails the second release from these Norwegians, a nation not normally associated with producing power metal but here it is and female fronted too!

This is quite a serious sounding album and really is more about the power of the songs as opposed to being remotely cheesy. There is real emotion in the lyrical delivery and the guitar solos are really quite moving at times, notably in Human Condition.

Ida Haukland has a touch of the Bonnie Tyler about her voice, which is in no way a criticism, as there is the hint of roughness but a whole lot of power. The album has a really heavy and well-rounded tone to it, and has been produced so everything is crystal clear. The guitars and bass have a good chunky feel and the drum sound is spot on to. There is really nothing to fault as each perfectly constructed track goes by.

There is a really unique feel to this in a genre where nearly every avenue has been covered, Triosphere have reached into their souls and produced something truly heartfelt and special.
